Job Details

Specific job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the gathering and verification of institutional data including the development of complex database queries related to enrollment and completion
  • Completing federal, state, and higher education reports and surveys for the University in compliance with mandated deadlines
  • Assisting academic and administrative departments in data collection and analysis as well as in survey development and development
  • Preparing presentations and dashboards to communicate information to various campus audiences
  • Supporting and assisting with the annual institutional report for MSCHE and providing institutional data for grant applications
  • Assisting academic departments in addressing accreditation requirements by providing data and assisting with data analysis and surveys for accreditation reports and visits
  • Designing and preparing analysis and reports for internal users including annual College Fact Book
  • Maintaining Institutional Research website, portal pages, and calendars
  • Collaborating with the Director of Institutional Research and Assessment on strategic projects
Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 12 to 18 months of effective experience is required. Advanced proficiency in Excel is required. Knowledge of SQL, Tableau, SPSS, Qualtrics or similar programs is strongly preferred. Experience with higher education SIS database such as Jenzabar is preferred. Research-related work experience or experience in higher education is a plus. Candidates with experience/coursework in research design, statistics or data analysis will be considered. The successful candidate will be organized, able to handle competing priorities, able to handle confidential and sensitive information and be detail-oriented. The successful candidate must also be able to effectively prepare written communications and be able to explain technical and statistical information in understandable terms.
