- The Institutional Effectiveness (IE) Associate is responsible for assisting with the planning, organization, and coordination of institutional effectiveness efforts across campus, including institutional research (IR) and institutional assessment. The IE Associate will primarily support institutional effectiveness efforts at the Academy by assisting with the collection, analysis, and distribution of institutional data to support strategic planning, decision making, program development, assessment of student learning, accreditation, and program review.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with institutional effectiveness protocols, including the execution of survey, focus group, and interview projects. Assist with related quantitative and qualitative data analysis as well as the preparation of associated reports.
- Provide support for student learning outcomes assessment efforts across campus (e.g., assisting with planning semester workshops; coordinating incentives for assessment; compiling regular summary reports of department assessment activities; and coordinating the feedback process for annual assessment reports).
- Assist with the updating of standard ongoing office publications.
- Assist with the preparation of responses to external survey organizations (e.g., US News, Peterson's).
- Build and maintain a university-wide survey inventory and calendar.
- Develop and maintain an Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) Procedures Manual that details ongoing publications plus OIE responsibilities by functional area.
- Assist with responding to ad hoc data requests.
- Other duties, as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, social science, education, business, or related field
- Experience in data analysis and report writing
- Experience working with Microsoft Office and statistical analysis software (SPSS preferred)
- Strong project management skills, including teamwork skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills as well as creative and critical thinking skills
- Master’s degree in statistics, social science, education, business, or related field
- Experience in higher education administration (assessment and/or IR preferred)
- Coursework and/or experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Experience working with online survey software
- Experience with higher education administrative data systems (Colleague preferred)
- Experience writing and executing reports in Entrinsik Informer
Area of Assignment: Academic Affairs
Supervision Received: Director of Institutional Effectiveness
Shift: 18 hours/week. Monday through Friday; possible weekends and evenings
Start date: February 2018
