The School District of Cheltenham Township is seeking Assistant Group Supervisors for the C.L.A.S.P. program.

2 years experience working with children required.

These are split-shift positions, hours 7:00-8:45AM, 3:30-6:30 PM

Job Description:
¥ Provide and maintain a safe and healthy environment, which encourages students to participate in daily C.L.A.S.P. activities /routines.
¥ Complete student's attendance daily and notify supervisor when student is absent.
¥ Know and follow check-in/check-out procedure for students. Always check identification if unsure of person picking up student.
¥ Complete weekly lesson plan and follow weekly schedule, but be willing to adjust or modify when needed upon supervisor's request.
¥ Supervise table games and activities. When playing with one child, keep an eye on the WHOLE group.
¥ Monitor and interact with students and have them cleanup. Do not leave games out without putting back in box or container.
¥ Prepare and clean up snack area.
¥ Provide assistance to students with homework.
¥ Provide assistance with any bathroom accidents and notify supervisor if coverage is needed.
¥ Assist group supervisor with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
¥ Provide input for bi-annual assessment of children's development
¥ Maintain confidentiality and follow the professional code of conduct
¥ Be familiar with job documents, equipment, and facilities, which can be used during service (Emergency Go Kit, Emergency exit and procedures and supervisors telephone numbers).
¥ Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials
¥ Attend in-service and staff meetings along with any additional yearly trainings required.
¥ Meet all applicable licensing regulations (first-aid slips and incident reports).
¥ Keep a consistent headcount on all students in assigned group. Notify a supervisor if out of ratio.
¥ Wear district ID badge and uniform shirt.
