Capsule Job Description: The Center Director has the privilege of creating and fostering a supportive, nurturing environment that encourages children to learn, teachers to excel, and families to flourish. The Center Director – is responsible for the center’s day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with NAEYC and Keystone STARS while supporting the DCDC philosophy to partner with families to enhance learning and development for each child. The position also is responsible for planning and execution of My Toddler and Me and Playgroup programming, site specific fundraising and involvement in marketing and public relations of center.

Qualifications: This individual should have a required minimum of 5 years of early childhood experience with a Keystone STAR 3 & above (or similar rating with a QIRS program out of state) and/or NAEYC Accreditation. A 2-year degree in ECE or related field with minimum ECE credits as defined by Career Lattice or Pathway is required. Director Credential preferred or ability to begin credentialing process within first 3 months of employment.

The position requires the ability to be highly organized, task oriented, and goal driven. Strong computer background is required as well as the ability to navigate social media. Candidate should be a self-starter and have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. Supervisory experience is preferred.
