Tuscany in September 2018
I am organizing a bike trip to Tuscany, staying at three classic Tuscan hill towns plus two days in Siena. The ride will begin on September 9 in Pienza for three nights followed by Montalcino for three nights, Siena for two nights (one day is a rest day) and finally Castellina for three nights. Tuscany is hilly (nothing is flat) with daily elevation changes of 2000 feet or more. However, you do not have to ride every day. The trip can be shortened to eight days by ending in Siena. The trip is through Cicloposse (see cicloposse.com), a very experienced, Italian cycle touring company. I did a ride with them in May 2017 and was very pleased. Will be Garmin compatible route files provided, bike rentals available and town information provided.
The cost of the trip is about 2100 euro per person, double occupancy for the 11-day trip and about 1550 euro double occupancy for the 8-day trip. Currently, there is one female looking for another female to share a room. Up to two additional rooms are available for either single or double occupancy (would be a single occupancy surcharge). Because Tuscany in September is a very popular destination, rooming commitments will need to be made soon.
