2017 GCC Annual Conference Houston

The GCC Conference Committee invites you to register for the 2017 GCC Annual Conference, held at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center June 27-30.

This year, the conference themes are Innovation and Insight; and the program will again include a pre-conference session on Tuesday, June 27th for members who are new to the profession or to working specifically with graduate students, PhDs and Postdoctoral scholars and would like additional professional development.
 
We will host all days of the pre-conference and conference at the MD Anderson campus. The Conference Committee is hard at work building out a program of events and speakers to engage and educate. We are expanding the scope of our poster session this year, in order to encourage more of our members to share best practices and showcase great ideas. The call for posters, along with the call for programs for member-generated sessions, will open in early January.

The registration fee for 2017 will be $425.00. Please note: all your meals during the conference will be provided.  In order to budget effectively, we ask that you register no later than April 1st or a late registration fee of $50.00 will be assessed. You may register through the GCC website if your paid membership is up to date. The cost for the pre-conference is $100.

Conference accommodation will be offered at a hotel adjacent to the medical campus/conference site, the Courtyard by Marriott Medical Center Houston, at a group rate of $149/night. 
Our conference hotel will serve as an evening social point for networking with colleagues (and we also are planning a Wednesday evening event/reception at the Houston Museum of Art). 

We will post information on the GCC website about programs and conference schedule as it develops.

Conference registration refund policy: If you must cancel your registration for the 2017 GCC National Conference, you may do so for a full refund of your registration fee (minus a $25 processing fee) up to four weeks in advance (May 30, 2017). From May 26th to June 13th, you may cancel your registration for a 50% refund of your registration fee (minus a $25 processing fee). After June 13th, you may cancel your registration, but you will not receive a refund. For questions about this policy, please email treasurer@gradcareerconsortium.org.
