BENEFICIAL UTILIZATION OF BIOGAS – A CASE STUDY AT COLORADO SPRINGS UTILITIES

Description:  

What’s all the hype about biogas?.......Are you interested in tapping into the beneficial use of your  WRRF’s biogas in the quest for energy efficiency or to make a buck? If you have every wondered what  the options are in using your WRRF’s biogas this presentation cannot be missed.  
 
Speakers:  
Rahul Subramanian is a wastewater process engineer with Colorado Springs Utilities in the planning and  design group. He has been with CSU for a little over four years and prior to that he was working in  consulting for over 10 years. He has a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from India and a  master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech. His passion is resource recovery and  process optimization.  

Bob Lonergan serves as the Water & Wastewater Energy Program Lead for FEI Engineers and is  experienced at leveraging energy and operational savings to fund capitalâ€Âintensive upgrades at water  and wastewater treatment facilities. Bob has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of  Florida and has over 13 years of industry experience including biosolids and biogas projects, energy  audits, energy performance contracting.  
 
Directions:  
The luncheon will be held at AWWA at 6666 W. Quincy Ave, Denver. From Hwy 285 (W. Hampden Ave)  exit Sheridan Blvd. Turn right onto W. Quincy Ave. Turn right at the entrance to the AWWA campus  (Pierce Street), and proceed to the south side of the building. Enter through the south (visitor) entrance  and proceed upstairs to the Lynn Laskey Center. Visitor parking is available on the south and west sides  of the building.  


Checkâ€Âin is from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm. The presentation will begin shortly thereafter. Registration fees  are $20 for AWWA or WEF members, $25 for nonmembers, and $15 for Students and Retired Members.  NOTE: MEETING IS SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY AND NOT ON THURSDAY THIS MONTH.
