2026 Nominations and Elections Committee Once again MiALA is beginning the process of nominating and electing officers for the 2026 - 2027 MiALA Board of Directors. If you recall, last year the MiALA Board advanced the nominations and elections cycle so as to improve leadership transition from one year to the next. So as a reminder this year’s nomination and election schedule is as follows: call for nominations will go out in February, nominations will close in March, and voting will take place in April. This will give both the incoming and outgoing MiALA board members time to coordinate leadership transition.
In the meantime the Election and Nominations Committee is looking for 5 volunteers (2 Public, 2 Community College and 1 Private institutions). If you have time and would like to help elect the next MiALA leadership please fill out the Volunteer interest form by Friday January 23rd.
