DESCRIPTION:Fall 2025 20th Anniversary Conference\n\n11/21/25 08:00 AM CST\n - 11/21/25 03:30 PM CST\Description:\nREGISTRATION IS CLOSED\n\n2025 OKWHE 20th Anniversary Fall Conference on Friday, November 21st, at the University of Central Oklahoma! \nOur conference theme is "Game Changers: Celebrating 20 Years of Leadership"\n\n \n\n\nRegistration Information:\n\nEarly Bird registration: $135.00\n\nEarly Bird registration closes at 5:00 pm on Friday, October 31st\n\nRegular Registration (after November 1st, 5:00 pm) : $160.00\n\nRegistration closes at 5:00 pm CST on November 7th, 2025\n\n(Please include any dietary restrictions and/or food allergies when you register.)\n\n\nPayPal payment is required to complete registration. No Purchase Orders and/or Checks will be accepted.  A PayPal account is not necessary to pay using PayPal. The system will ask for a debit/credit card or PayPal account information to complete the registration payment. \n\nAny cancellation before November 15th will still be eligible for a refund, but a $10.00 processing fee will be charged. Cancellations after November 15th will not be eligible for any refund.\n\nPCard Users: Download this document\n\n\nAGENDA:  Click here for a copy of the tentative agenda.\n \n\nOur conference will kickoff at 8:00 am with breakfast and the opening session will start at 9:00 am with a welcome address from Dr. Kim Hunter Reed, Louisiana Commissioner of Higher Education. This year's luncheon keynote speaker is Sheri, Coale, former collegiate basketball coach for OU Women's Basketball.\n \n\nDr. Reed is currently the only female in the country to have served as a state higher education leader in multiple states.  She is a proven advocate for students and has worked extensive higher education and government experience. â€‹In addition to her work at the Louisiana Board of Regents and the Colorado Department of Higher Education, Dr. Reed served in President Obama's administration as deputy undersecretary at the U.S. Department of Education, where she also led the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities.  Dr. Reed was honored with the 2020 Exceptional Leader award by the State Higher Education Executive Officers Association.  In January 2023, she was named as one of the nation's Top 10 Black Higher Education Leaders by Forbes.\n\nDr. Reed is a native of Lake Charles, LA, received a doctorate in public policy from Southern University and A&M College, as well as a master's degree in public administration and a bachelor's degree in boradcast journalism from Louisiana State University and A&M College.\n\n\nSherri Coale built one of the most successful legacies in women's basketball.  She began her career as an English teacher and assistant coach at Edmond Memorial High School before leading Norman High School to multiple state championships.  At the age of 31, she was named head coach at The University of Oklahoma (OU), where she spent 25 years guiding the program to excellence.  Under her leadership, OU women's basketball captured multiple Bix XII titles, made 19 consecutive NCAA tournament appearances, and advanced to three Final Fours.  She coached four All-Americans, 14 WNBA draft picks, and countless players who went on to impactful careers.\n\nInternationally, Coale served with USA Basketball, earning a gold medal as head coach at the 2013 World University Games.  Beyond the court, she is a writer, speaker, and consultant, continuing to inspire audiences with lessons from a lifetime in leadership, competition and resilience.\n\n \n\n\n\nCONFERENCE PARKING: The University of Central Oklahoma is located at 100 N. University Drive, Edmond, OK 73034. Specifically, the conference will be held in the Nigh University Center, located on 2nd St. (HWY 66) between Bryant and Boulevard (major intersections). See this parking map to get specific directions to on-campus parking in Visitor Lots  #10 or #14 (overflow) -- just follow the OKWHE signs. (No need to use the parking kiosks or put a sign on your dash.)
