This class is for you! By using strips of clay students will learn to make large pots that will look 'wheel-thrown'.  Emphasis is on proper construction, form and creativity. \n\nParticipants will learn:\n- unique construction process\n- unique methods for enhancing pieces\n- managing large hand built pieces using proper seam blending\n- do some construction on the wheel, so gain comfort with a wheel without throwing a wheel based form \n\n   \nMaterials:\n\n	Serrated metal rib for scoring\n	Wooden tool with one wedge end and one rounded end\n	Pin tool\n	Pony roller (optional)\n	Red flexible mud tool rib (or equivalent)\n	Fettling knife or equivalent\n	Yardstick (if possible)\n	Small sponge\n	Texture mat or roller or wooden molding for texturing top of pots\n	Large soft plastic (dry cleaner bag or equivalent)\n	The club has some long thin support boards or bring your own dry wall panel 18" x 3' approximate. This will support your soft 3/8" slab, smoothed with a rib and cut into 1 1/2" wide strips using a yardstick.\n	A slightly curved wooden paddle with rounded edges so it doesn't dig into the clay wall.
