DESCRIPTION:Family Ride at Penasquitos Canyon\n\n11/03/18 09:00 AM PST\n - 11/03/18 12:00 PM PST\Description:\nJoin us for a family friendly bike ride as we help the County of San Diego celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Multiple Species Conservation Program (MSCP)\nMeet at 9 a.m. with Ride to  roll at 9:30 a.m. from the Ranch House at Los Penasquitos Canyon.   Route will be approximately 6-8 miles west towards the waterfall area of PQ Canyon and back to the ranch house. We will enjoy a combination of fire roads and single track trails.  \nAll children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent.  Helmets required. Please bring bikes in good working order, Close toed shoes, appropriate clothing, water bottle or hydration pack, snacks.  \n\nMore information: \n\nOur ever-evolving Multiple Species Conservation Plan – MSCP – works across political boundaries, providing a framework for region-wide conservation efforts: It outlines geographic areas that should and can be protected; it identifies new access routes and connection points for recreation; and it highlights the role of education in habitat preservation, enhancement and sustainability.\n\nThe MSCP is a multi-jurisdiction, multi-agency, 50-year agreement spanning 29 regional preserves containing tens of thousands of acres of open space in San Diego County. \n\nOn Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., we will be celebrating the MSCP's 20-year existence with guided history tours, hikes, a bike ride, interpretive programs, meet-and-greets with animal ambassadors, informational booths, games, food trucks and a live performance by our very own ranger band! \n\nAll are welcome and there is no cost to attend this highly entertaining and interactive event! \n\nFollow the event discussion for information, including a forthcoming detailed agenda.
