Our ever-evolving Multiple Species Conservation Plan – MSCP – works across political boundaries, providing a framework for region-wide conservation efforts: It outlines geographic areas that should and can be protected; it identifies new access routes and connection points for recreation; and it highlights the role of education in habitat preservation, enhancement and sustainability.
The MSCP is a multi-jurisdiction, multi-agency, 50-year agreement spanning 29 regional preserves containing tens of thousands of acres of open space in San Diego County.
On Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., we will be celebrating the MSCP's 20-year existence with guided history tours, hikes, a bike ride, interpretive programs, meet-and-greets with animal ambassadors, informational booths, games, food trucks and a live performance by our very own ranger band!
All are welcome and there is no cost to attend this highly entertaining and interactive event!
