The Mid-Atlantic has long enjoyed a reputation as a place for introducing new environmental technologies. This was a reflection of broad public support in this region a generation ago for a clean water and air, and now, today, we look to upgrade our environmental infrastructure with equipment that can get us higher results at lower costs. In this webinar, you will learn about four technologies that are coming to our region with the promised of delivering next-generation results. These technologies are:
  • Bucher Press a uniquely high solids press described by Jean-François Mischler
  • Ecoremedy is a first of its kind thermal process for sludges presented by Dave Mooney
  • Orege provides its SLG for improving BFP performance, presented by Kevin Dunlap
  • Gryphon Dryer is a highly efficient belt dryer presented by Tid Griffin.

The Bucher HPS press is recognized as the one of the best performing sludge dewatering system on the market today. It not only offers higher dewatering performances than conventional equipment, but also a high flexibility of use, a wide range of self-optimization, an easy operation and a long-life.
Jean-François Mischler is since 2009 the Area Sales Manager for Bucher Unipektin HPS for its municipal sludge dewatering applications world-wide. His career in Water and Waste water treatment has spanned plant operation to engineering consultancy and equipment/process sales. He has made a speciality of biosolids dewatering and drying over the last 16 years.
~~~~~
Ecoremedy Fluid Lift Gasification is an integrated sludge-processing platform that produces dried Class A/EQ biosolids, carbon filter media, and nutrient ash. The sludge cake is the sole energy source and solids volumes are reduced by up to 90%. It is proven, cost-effective, and scalable. Its first plant in the Mid-Atlantic is under construction at the WRRF in Morrisville, Pennsylvania.
Chris Holcomb leads the deployment of Ecoremedy’s technology for municipal sludge projects, including equipment sales, marketing, and project development. He has a broad background in renewable energy and a graduate degree in environmental sciences and policy.
~~~~~

Orege North America manufactures breakthrough technologies creating solutions for the treatment of municipal and industrial sludge and complex effluents, and it has started up its second installation in the mid Atlantic. The SLG™ (Solid Liquid Gas) is the proprietary and patented technology for the enhancement of existing sludge dewatering and thickening operations. The SLG™ is installed immediately before your dewatering or thickening device and uses only compressed air to modify the sludge for improved operations.
Kevin Dunlap is the Chief Executive Office of Orege North America. He is an experienced executive and leader in the water, wastewater, and environmental services industries, coming to Orege from BCR Environmental.

Gryphon Environmental is installing its first dryer in the municipal market in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.  Its technology consists of a continuous belt drive system designed in segments (like lego blocks) to reduce costs of installation. With three, five, and ten feet wide options, these segments are assembled in a series to produce a single, larger dryer with few moving parts. They are highly automated and maintenance-friendly available. The process is also made efficient through uses of air pressure differentials.
Tid Griffin is the Chairman and CEO of Gryphon Environmental. He has built a company that serves a wide range of drying needs, from 2 to1,000 tons of water daily, in a wide range of industries, from paper, agricultural and food, and for a wide range of suspensions, including plastics, biomass, grains, proteins.
