This 1-Hour (free) Lunch & Learn will provide your office with what is expected by the federal government and why Highmark is working with the WV Chiropractic Society to find outliers and help get all DC's in WV in compliance.
The Federal Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is prioritizing the HEDIS measure “ Use of Imaging Studies for Uncomplicated Low Back Pain. All BCBS plans are under an Action Plan to improve performance on this measure. The Federal Employee Program Directors Office (FEPDO) has provided plans with an LBP provider tool kit to share with providers and are expecting plans to collaborate with their provider groups that are high outliers to improve this measure rates.

Highmark is committed to working collaboratively with our provider groups to improve outcomes related to the Low Back Pain measure. We acknowledge the challenges in treating members with low back pain. We would like to partner with you to explore opportunities for improvement in this area. We are ready to offer education, data and provider tool kits to help improve provider rates for this measure and improve patient outcomes. We believe that by working together, we can achieve significant progress.
