Dates and time: Oct 7, 9, 14 and 16, 2025; 3:00 - 6:00
Description:
This class will provide hands on instruction for students who wish to learn how to create pottery using the wheel. Instruction will focus on the following skills adn the end product will be throwing a 3"-4" cylinder.
Each student will learn the fundamentals of throwing:
- Centering
- Opening
- Cutting off the wheel or bat
- Cutting off uneven top
- Finishing bottom
- Wedging
- Reclaiming clay
As available, class will include guest demonstrations of skills. At the completion of this class students should be ready to move on to Wheel 2.
