TheChestnut Hill Community Association is proud to partner with the Whitemarsh Foundation to present the newest chapter of its educational series titled “Jewel of the Wissahickon – Rewilding the Dixon Meadow”.
Join award-winning wildlife photographer and acclaimed author Glenn Mason for a photographic journey of winter flora and fauna, followed by a walk in the Preserve (weather permitting).
Learn the strategies that plants and animals use to survive the harsh winter, how woodpeckers are a keystone species, and why the rewilded Dixon Meadow is such an important link in preserving the local ecology of the Wissahickon and surrounding habitats that define our region.
