if you'd like to learn about this alternative firing process you can come watch OR you can participate. To participate you must sign up.....
Newbies and experienced alternative Fire folks will share the fun and wild results together! The firing team will remove hot pots from the kiln but you can participate by tossing sugar, fermented bread mixture, etc onto the piece. Expect sizzles, fizzes and even an occasional burp. And you'll get to see the final result.
Those doing the TRY IT, will participate using other artists work, which will remain with the artist or be donated to Plates of Plenty.
Splash Obvara is a process that is part of the Alternative Firing program and is also called, Baltic Raku.
Participant spots are limited to 5, so you must sign up.
