Jack provides strategic and tactical advice to energy and transportation companies and financial institutions, focusing on government relations, regulatory affairs, public policy, strategic communications, situational risk management, and sustainability performance. Jack previously served as Executive Vice President of HBW Resources, LLC, Regulatory Affairs and Policy Manager for Shell North America’s Exploration & Production Division, and Staff Director for the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources, where he was responsible for drafting, negotiating, and passage of many of the oil and gas, mining, and geothermal energy provisions of the 2005 Energy Policy Act. Jack also previously worked for the Independent Petroleum Association of America, Hart Energy Publications, and Texaco Gas Marketing Inc. Jack holds a B.A. in Government from The University of Texas at Austin. UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, Business of Energy Program
Dan Domeracki joined UNC Kenan-Flagler energy faculty in 2019 and serves as associate director for the Energy Center. He retired from Schlumberger with 40 years of global industry experience. As a member of Schlumberger's corporate team, he was responsible for its government affairs program, managing the non-lobbying, non-political, interactive working relationships with governments in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. He also was responsible for building Schlumberger's first fully integrated social and environmental corporate responsibility function, Schlumberger Global Stewardship. He holds a master's degree in geology from the University of South Carolina.

Paul Dunn was the founder of CarbonPoint Solutions, acquired by Caterpillar in 2021. Mr. Dunn is now the Chief Engineer for CAT Carbon Capture Solutions within the Caterpillar Oil, Gas and Marine Division. Mr. Dunn grew up in Needham, Massachusetts and attended the Tufts University College of Engineering receiving a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He obtained his Master of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Rhode Island. Mr. Dunn had a long civilian career with the Naval Undersea Warfare Center. He started in the Newport Propulsion Test Facility, steadily advanced, and was finally selected for the Senior Executive Service position of Product Area Director, Undersea Warfare Weapons and Vehicles, within Naval Sea Systems Command. Prior to founding CarbonPoint Solutions, Mr. Dunn was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Gas Equipment Engineering Corporation (GEECO), providing high performance oxygen plants for military and commercial applications, both molecular sieve and cryogenic distillation based. Mr. Dunn has been working in post combustion carbon capture for 14 years. During his government and private sector career, Mr. Dunn has generated over 40 patents and continues to invent today.
Bill Flores, Chair of the Boards
Electric Reliability Council of Texas
Bill Flores is a business leader, corporate governance expert, public policy advocate, and frequent speaker on energy, economics, leadership, and public service. From 2011 to 2021, he served as the U.S. Representative for Texas’ 17th Congressional District, where he played a key role on the House Energy & Commerce, Budget, Veterans’ Affairs, and Natural Resources Committees. During his tenure, he was widely regarded as a thought leader in shaping national energy policy. Prior to his congressional service, Mr. Flores spent over two decades in senior executive and board leadership roles across both public and private enterprises. His private sector career focused on job creation, economic growth, and delivering long-term value to a broad range of stakeholders—including public company shareholders, private equity firms, and institutional investors such as pension and retirement funds. He currently serves as Chair of the Boards of ERCOT (Electric Reliability Council of Texas) and Nauticus Robotics, Inc. (NASDAQ), and as a Director of CO2 Energy Transition Corporation (NASDAQ), Houston Christian University (Trustee), and the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI). He is also a member of the Strategic Advisory Board of Veriten LLC. A licensed CPA in Texas, Mr. Flores holds a BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Houston Christian University. He and his wife, Gina, have two adult sons, two daughters-in-law, and four awesome grandkids. Outside of his professional pursuits, he is passionate about flying and snow skiing.

Brent Greenfield joined Cornerstone in 2019. Jay Golden, Pontarelli Professor of Environmental Sustainability and Finance, Maxwell School, Syracuse University
Founder & Director, Dynamic Sustainability Lab, Syracuse University
Dr. Golden is an internationally recognized researcher and academic regarding the dynamics of the global sustainability transition. Golden uses big data, modeling and analytics to analyze the risks, unintended consequences and opportunities of government policies and corporate actions to related to the transition to a Net-Zero Carbon Economy with a focus on the resiliency and reliability of energy transitions. He recently completed appointments under two different administrations on the Board of Scientific Counselors of the US EPA including being appointed to its Executive Board. At Syracuse University Dr. Golden is the Pontarelli Professor of Environmental Sustainability and Finance in the Maxwell School, the nation’s top ranked school of public policy. He founded and directs the Dynamic Sustainability Lab a non-partisan think tank and research lab. Prior to Syracuse Dr. Golden led major research centers at Arizona State University and Duke University. He has served as a University Vice Chancellor and University President and CEO as well as leadership positions in the private sector including a fortune 250 environmental services company. Golden holds a PhD in Engineering from Cambridge University and a Masters in Engineering from a joint program of MIT and Cambridge University.

Brett Perlman, Senior Advisor, Saoradh Enterprise Partners (SEP) & Impact Fellow, Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative
Brett A. Perlman has had a multifaceted career spanning management consulting, senior government leadership, and nonprofit executive roles. He is currently an Impact Fellow in Residence at Harvard University’s Advanced Leadership Initiative where he focuses on strategies to address climate change as well as new energy technology commercialization. In addition, he is a Senior Advisor at Saoradh Enterprise Partners where he works with a coalition of companies, NGOs, and policymakers to strengthen and expand the Gulf Coast’s regional clean hydrogen ecosystem. From 2017 to 2024, he served as CEO of the Center for Houston’s Future, where he led major initiatives tackling Houston’s toughest challenges, including the creation of the HyVelocity Hub, which secured a record $1.2 billion U.S. Department of Energy grant, and the formation of a coalition of more than 35 companies collaborating to build the foundation for the Gulf Coast’s clean hydrogen ecosystem. Brett served as a Commissioner on the Public Utility Commission of Texas, where he led the state’s landmark electricity restructuring. His consulting experience includes work with McKinsey & Company as well as his own firm, advising senior executives and private equity firms on clean energy and utility transformation. He has also served as an independent board director for public and private equity-backed companies and as a strategic advisor to numerous clean tech companies, including EnerNOC, Nest, and most recently, Quino Energy, a long duration energy storage start-up. He holds advanced degrees in public policy from Harvard University and in law from the University of Texas, and was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Northwestern University.

With over 22 years of dedicated service at SLB, Jesse has cultivated a diverse and robust career, beginning as a Field Engineer in Canada. Starting in low-tier land operations and advancing to high-tier offshore operations, Jesse has demonstrated exceptional adaptability and expertise. Transitioning to the United States, Jesse moved to line operations management before transitioning into the technology center, where he contributed to the development and deployment of new SLB mechanical intervention technologies. His career then led them to Argentina as a Project Manager, overseeing a critical project to repair leaking wells for Total in the isolated southern state of Tierra Del Fuego. Following the successful completion of the Argentine project, he transitioned into sales, first focusing on deepwater Gulf of Mexico and then representing SLB to the National Energy Company in Qatar. This blend of operations, technology, project management, and sales experience paved the way for Jesse's current role in the SLB Industrial Decarbonization team. Today, as Business Development Manager for SLB New Energies Jesse works in a commercial capacity to develop, deploy, and support SLB’s Carbon and Hydrogen offerings globally, leveraging their extensive background to drive innovation and sustainability in the energy sector.

From 2017 to 2024, he served as CEO of the Center for Houston’s Future, where he led major initiatives tackling Houston’s toughest challenges, including the creation of the HyVelocity Hub, which secured a record $1.2 billion U.S. Department of Energy grant, and the formation of a coalition of more than 35 companies collaborating to build the foundation for the Gulf Coast’s clean hydrogen ecosystem. Brett served as a Commissioner on the Public Utility Commission of Texas, where he led the state’s landmark electricity restructuring. His consulting experience includes work with McKinsey & Company as well as his own firm, advising senior executives and private equity firms on clean energy and utility transformation. He has also served as an independent board director for public and private equity-backed companies and as a strategic advisor to numerous clean tech companies, including EnerNOC, Nest, and most recently, Quino Energy, a long duration energy storage start-up. He holds advanced degrees in public policy from Harvard University and in law from the University of Texas, and was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Northwestern University.
SLB
With over 22 years of dedicated service at SLB, Jesse has cultivated a diverse and robust career, beginning as a Field Engineer in Canada. Starting in low-tier land operations and advancing to high-tier offshore operations, Jesse has demonstrated exceptional adaptability and expertise. Transitioning to the United States, Jesse moved to line operations management before transitioning into the technology center, where he contributed to the development and deployment of new SLB mechanical intervention technologies. His career then led them to Argentina as a Project Manager, overseeing a critical project to repair leaking wells for Total in the isolated southern state of Tierra Del Fuego. Following the successful completion of the Argentine project, he transitioned into sales, first focusing on deepwater Gulf of Mexico and then representing SLB to the National Energy Company in Qatar. This blend of operations, technology, project management, and sales experience paved the way for Jesse's current role in the SLB Industrial Decarbonization team. Today, as Business Development Manager for SLB New Energies Jesse works in a commercial capacity to develop, deploy, and support SLB’s Carbon and Hydrogen offerings globally, leveraging their extensive background to drive innovation and sustainability in the energy sector.
