As President, Shale & Tight, Chevron Corporation, Bruce L. Niemeyer, 64, oversees Chevron’s significant upstream activities in the Permian Basin in Texas and New Mexico, the Denver-Julesburg Basin in Colorado, and the Vaca-Muerta shale play in Argentina.
From 2022 to 2025, Niemeyer served as president of Americas Exploration & Production, overseeing Chevron’s upstream portfolio across the continental U.S, Canada and Latin America.
From 2018 to October 2022, Niemeyer led the development of the company’s key strategies, including capital allocation and sustainability efforts as corporate vice president of Strategy and Sustainability.
Previous roles have included vice president of Chevron’s Mid-Continent business unit from 2013 to 2018, vice president of the Appalachian/Michigan business unit from 2011 to 2013, and general manager of strategy and planning for Chevron North America Exploration and Production Company.
Niemeyer is a member of the Upstream Committee of the American Petroleum Institute, the Executive Committee of the Greater Houston Partnership and board member of the Texas Economic Development Corporation (TxEDC). Niemeyer joined Texaco in 2000 from Atlantic Richfield Company. He earned a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and is a registered petroleum engineer in the state of California.
Eric Marshall, Partner, Investment Banking, TPH

Eric Marshall is a Partner at TPH, where he focuses on advising upstream clients in the energy sector. Mr. Marshall has approximately 15 years of investment banking experience, having served in various roles at the Firm during his tenure. Over the course of his career, he has advised clients on key transactions with a combined aggregate transaction value of over $100 billion. Mr. Marshall earned a BBA in Finance from TCU and an MBA in investments from TCU.
Tim Perry, Vice Chairman of Global Energy, RBC Capital Markets

Tim Perry is the Vice Chairman of the Global Energy Group at RBC Capital Markets. Based in Houston, he has a client focus primarily composed of US Independents (public and private ownership), both US and International Majors, LNG companies, and certain Energy Transition companies (carbon capture and geothermal businesses). Mr. Perry has worked on numerous transactions in M&A and capital markets during his 30+ year career in investment banking. Prior to joining RBC in 2023, he had a 25-year tenure in the Investment Bank at Credit Suisse, where he was the Global Head of the Energy and Transition Group and was a member of the Bank’s Operating and Capital Markets Underwriting Committees.
In addition to his responsibilities at RBC Capital Markets, Mr. Perry is also the Chairman of the Maguire Energy Institute in the Cox School of Business at SMU. At SMU, he Co-Founded Spindletop, a student-led energy focused investment fund. He holds a BSBA degree from the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville) and a MBA degree from Vanderbilt University.
