Description:
Michigan Colleges Online is pleased to announce the 2018 MI OER Summit - a gathering of OPEN enthusiasts and those who are interested and eager to learn, network and advocate.

This year's event is hosted by St. Clair County Community College (Port Huron, MI) at the Fine Arts Theatre on September 21, 2018.

Our keynote for the Summit is Dr. Chris Gilliard, Professor of English and Rhetoric, Macomb Community College; Faculty, 2018 Digital Pedagogy Lab, University of Mary Washington - who will speak on "Interrogating Access: Privacy, Equity and Open Education".

Additionally, the Summit will have 18 sessions that range from how to start using OER to building a complete program using OER, launching an OER initiative, assessing OER and faculty experiences with OER - plus the peer group luncheon!

Who Should Attend: All OPEN advocates and supporters - such as:
Faculty interested in OER and those using OER in their classes
Librarians involved in campus OER initiatives
Instructional designers and technologists that assist with the development and inclusion of OER in classes
Administrators that drive the OER strategy and initiatives at the institution
