Event Name:
JTAC Luncheon November 2018

Description:

Description:
The area now including eastern Colorado is part of what early explorers called the Great American Desert.  In fact, the entire State of Colorado can fall within that description.  It was apparent to early settlers that the limited water resources would have to be carefully used.  Effective management of waters within the State to date has been sufficient to support agriculture, industry and a rapidly growing population.  But, it is becoming increasingly difficult to meet the growing demands.  Thus, there is great interest in indirect and non- potable reuse.  And there is growing interest in direct potable reuse.
Accordingly, CDPHE’s Water Quality Control Division has been studying these issues and what regulatory steps might be necessary to address indirect and direct potable reuse, and non-potable reuse of water within the State of Colorado. Tyson Ingels/CDPHE will be presenting. Tyson Ingels is well known in Colorado.  He is long time engineer with the Water Quality Control Division of CDPHE. Tyson is a frequent speaker at conferences and meetings throughout the state on CDPHE activities in water quality and water treatment issues.  Tyson has participated in a number of JTAC Luncheons.  Tyson’s presentations are consistently very informative.
