ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:

Maurice Clarke is the Virtual Design & Construction Manager at Hensel Phelps. During his 13 years at Hensel Phelps, Maurice has worked on 15 projects valued at $2.6 Billion. His VDC specialty uses multi-disciplinary Building Information Models, 3D CAD, and reality capture technologies. Maurice brings effective management and organization, working closely with design teams and trade partners to facilitate constructability reviews and efficient solutions for building systems.

James Norris is the Director of Virtual Design and Construction at The Beck Group, an integrated architecture and construction firm that designs and constructs buildings by creating cross-discipline teams to achieve a more holistic building process.  

He’s experienced nearly every aspect of the construction space, migrating from construction management to starting the scheduling department and now, running the Virtual Building Group which is comprised of 4 departments: 3D Coordination, BIM Support, VBG Consulting Services and Operational Technology. 

He’s an advisor for Shadow Ventures and an advocate for intuitive building design.

Michael Masteller is the Director of Design Technology for Architecture at HNTB.  In his 30-year career he has spent time practicing in all aspects of the architectural process including time in the field at the onset of improvement projects collecting as-built information to utilize in the development of new design and documentation.  After transitioning into a technology management focus he’s lead Design Technology and BIM teams at several top architecture firms.  His goal is to incorporate new technology into practice to bring maximum efficiency to design, collaboration, production and delivery.
