Gross Reservoir Expansion Project: How Collaboration Benefits All

Thursday, November 21st 2019

Located an hour from Denver, Gross Reservoir is tucked into the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Denver Water is planning to raise the height of the existing dam by 131 feet to nearly triple the storage capacity within the reservoir. This project has been 15+ years in the works and will begin construction related activities in 2020. With a project of this size comes many challenges; from local neighbors to environmentalist and lengthy permitting timelines. Learn more about the journey that Denver Water has been on to expand Gross Reservoir during this informative luncheon. Melissa Brasfield, the Community Outreach Coordinator for the Gross Reservoir Expansion Project will be presenting.

Directions:

The luncheon will be held at the Lynn Laskey Center on the AWWA Campus at 6666 W. Quincy Ave, Denver, CO. From Hwy 285 (W. Hampden Ave) exit Sheridan Blvd. Turn right onto W. Quincy Ave. Turn right at the entrance to the AWWA campus (Pierce Street), and proceed to the south side of the building. Enter through the south (visitor) entrance and proceed upstairs to the Lynn Laskey Center. Visitor parking is available on the south and west sides of the building.
