BCEDA is committed to providing a Business Retention and CRM platform to communities in BC. Since 2010, BCEDA has been offering BC BusinessCounts through a unique partnership with ExecutivePulse™. BC BusinessCounts provides a consistent province-wide method for gathering data needed to identify and analyze business needs at the local, regional and provincial level. A portion of the funds to initially start this program were provided by the Province of BC. Currently over 60 communities in BC use this platform to assist their Business Retention and Expansion efforts, store business information in the cloud to use during disasters allowing them to communicate directly with businesses in their region, or to do online/in-person Business Walks.
BCEDA has always placed importance on business retention and expansion programs and supporting those businesses already in a community. Business Retention is best performed as a community driven activity to maximize local development of existing industry. Each community or region develops its own approaches to conduct business outreach. A robust CRM is an integral part of this approach.
New updates are continually being made to meet the changing needs of our users. Over the next few months we will be hosting short webinars highlighting changes. These webinars will typically take between 15 and 20 minutes.
