EWMD International - Event Information - EWMD International
Event Name:
Interactive course "Elements of Artificial Intelligence"
Event Type(s):
Online Meeting
Description:
Artificial intelligence is already embedded in many of the services we use daily, from online banking to e-commerce, health systems and social media. Since the algorithms are not "neutral" but human-made, it's important for everyone to understand the bigger picture of this technology as it will impact the way we work, recruit, learn and produce. That is why EWMD International is starting an online journey into Artificial intelligence. We will use the successful online course "Elements of AI" developed by the University of Helsinki which is used in many companies and public administrations worldwide. The course is free of charge and open to use whenever you have time.
We will enrich this course with parallel online sessions, once a month, where we can discuss the topics and relate them to our work experience. The period we will use it is about 7 months, which means 3-4 hours per month on your own for the course and one hour for the reflection together. It aims to give everyone an understanding about the core elements of Artificial Intelligence.
Interested members and guests need to sign up on the course on the website to receive the invitations to the monthly meetings. You can find more background about the course here.
The first session to discuss the learnings will be on December 13, 2019 at 12:00 CET.
