GWCO Congress 2020
The 2020 GWCO Congress will be VIRTUAL.
We are committed to providing you with meaningful education.
As the uncertainty of the current climate continues to revolve around the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, the GWCO Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to forgo an in-person Congress this fall (September 17-20, 2020) in Portland, Oregon.
The GWCO Board reached its decision after Governor Brown of Oregon released her "Plan for Rebuilding a Safe and Strong Oregon" that advises the cancellation of large gatherings (including conventions) through at least September 2020. Without a doubt, GWCO places the health and safety of our attendees, industry partners, and staff at our highest priority.
GWCO remains committed to delivering an unparalleled educational program that provides positive and meaningful experiences to ODs, paraoptometrics, students, and the at-large optometric community. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that plans are being finalized for a re-imagined, virtual GWCO Congress for this September!
Further details about dates, revised programming and activities, and updated industry partnership opportunities will be shared with the GWCO community in upcoming weeks.

Registration Information for 2020
Attendee registration rates are based on several factors. Optometrist rates are based on AOA membership, student and resident rates are based on PARAS membership and both options have single day rates available.
Be sure you have all of the materials and details ready to submit your registration:
• Full Name
• Title & Organization
• Email, Phone & Address
• OE Tracker # (if applicable)
• Optometrist License # (if applicable)
• AOA Member Number (If registering at the member rate)
• AFOS, AOSO, or Energeyes: AACO # (If registering at the affiliate rate)
• Registration Option: Full Event or Single Day

GWCO Congress was developed to provide an educational venue for the optometric professional in GWCO member states to come together and receive high-quality, multi-track optometric education. As a way to encourage the participation of members and state leaders, net profits from the annual congress are returned to the GWCO states based on an attendance formula.
