The Emerging Executives Committee invites member company high-performers to a Leadership Forum.

In today’s fast-paced world being able to influence and effectively communicate in an active and productive way is important. Council Board Member Pearl Chu, Director, Technical Domain & Knowledge Management, Schlumberger, will share her thoughts on effective use and outcomes of communication styles, specifically leveraging feedback skills.

Pearl Chu is Director, Technical Domains & Knowledge Management, responsible for Schlumberger knowledge management systems as well as strategic development of the global technical community. Previously, Pearl held the role of Technology Center Manager leading one of the largest engineering and manufacturing centers developing products and services that Schlumberger provides globally. 
 
With over 25 years of experience with Schlumberger, Pearl has held multiple leadership roles including Human Resources Director for the Schlumberger Technology organization, several Operations management roles with P&L responsibilities, R&D management, and marketing.  Having started her career as a mechanical engineer in Houston, Texas, Pearl has spent almost half of her time working overseas with positions in Paris, Beijing and Kuala Lumpur.  This mix of international experience, technical background and variety of functional roles has resulted in a unique blend of technical/international leadership in the industry.
 
Pearl holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology (Master of Science) and Texas A&M University (Bachelor of Science).  Pearl is a member of Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and in 2020, joined the Energy Workforce & Technology Council Board of Directors.
