The University of Alabama is hosting a Wilderness First Aid Course in Tuscaloosa, Alabama from January 13- January 14. This course focuses on the basic skills of response and assessment, musculoskeletal injuries, environmental emergencies, survival skills, soft tissue injuries, and medical emergencies.

Cost
The course fee is $255. Participants must pre-register before the deadline above. Participants must be on-time and present during all class meetings to gain the certification.
Location
All course activities will take place at The University of Alabama's Sudent Recreation Center (UREC). Camping in the Rec will be available to those who require it at an additional cost, and will take place in the Rec Center.
Itinerary
The Course will start promptly at 8 am on Saturday, January 13 and will end around 5 pm Sunday, January 14th. Each day will consist of at least 8 hours of course work that will be a combination of classroom lecture and outdoor field scenarios.
