Position Title: Principal Engineer - KY

Position Description: 
Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a detail-oriented Principal Engineer with 6 to 12 years of experience in design and project management of municipal water and wastewater projects. The position will include leading and delivering planning and design of municipal water/wastewater facilities projects. Experience should encompass all phases of design, including conceptual/feasibility evaluations, project management, preparation of design reports, development of construction drawings and specifications, and support of construction services.

Duties/Responsibilities: 
Responsibilities to include:
·Project management, preparation of assessment and design reports, performing design calculations, cost estimating, equipment sizing/selection, and preparation of construction documents for municipal water/wastewater treatment facilities.
·Field work and site visits from planning through construction may be required with occasional travel.
·Communicate clearly and concisely through technical writing.

Education/Experience/Skills Required: 
Qualifications Required:
·6 to 12 years of experience in delivering water and wastewater projects for municipal clients
·Must hold an active Kentucky Professional Engineer license
·B.S. degree in environmental or civil engineering
·Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
·Proficient in all computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
·Stormwater design experience will be a plus.Candidate must have strong organizational skills
