About the Alameda Creek Watershed Center
Opening this year, this state-of-the-art center features interactive exhibits and interpretive programs that share the unique stories of the Muwekma Ohlone, watershed wildlife and ecology, the rich history of the watershed, and its role in providing water for the Hetch Hetchy Regional Water System.

About the Operations and Visitor Services Coordinator Position
Under general supervision, the Alameda Creek Watershed Center Operations and Visitor Services Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the Alameda Creek Watershed Center and grounds are operating effectively to serve visitors and the community. This includes supervision, coordination, planning, development, monitoring, and evaluation of the building, exhibits, and grounds to ensure they are operating safely and effectively to serve the programs, visitors, and staff.
The Operations and Visitor Services Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing visitor services, operating the online program reservation database (RecDesk), procuring the materials and resources necessary for implementing programs; coordinating facility and equipment use, and supporting special events and programs to make the most effective use of the facilities and assigned staff.
Desirable experience and skills for this position include:
- Oversight and coordination of facility operations, materials and supplies
- Reception and visitor services
- On-line registration and reservation management systems
- Event coordination and support
- Coordination of building, grounds, and exhibit maintenance
- Program marketing
- Staff training and supervision
- Implementation of policies and procedure
- Exceptional communication and coordination skills
The work schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday, with occasional evenings and Sundays.
This is a full-time position with employee benefits.
The salary range is $73,840 to $89,830.
The worksite is in the East Bay, next to the town of Sunol. There is no public transportation.
