Reporting the Director, Institutional Research and Assessment, the Research Analyst is responsible for collecting and maintaining data, preparing and analyzing reports and data files to support institutional initiatives and planning, and completing and submitting reports to multiple external agencies.

Job Details

Job duties include, but are not limited to;
Gathering and verifying institutional data, developing complex database queries related to employment and completion.
Completing federal, state, and higher education reports, data files, and surveys for the University in compliance with all deadlines.
Providing data analysis for academic and administrative departments for program review, accreditation, operations, and research projects.
Communicating information internally and externally to various campus audiences by creating presentations and dashboards.
Providing data for grant applications, serving as campus manager of the Qualtrics survey platform. Providing technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students on survey design and development. Designing and preparing analysis and reports for distribution to the campus including the University fact book, fact sheets, and other resources.
Maintaining the Institutional Research office webpage, portal page, Instagram and Twitter accounts, including the design of content.
Recruiting, selecting, and supervising office graduate and undergraduate interns.

Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of experience required. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with research methods (quantitative and qualitative), data analysis, visualization and statistics is expected. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Candidates must be willing to support the Dominican Catholic, liberal arts mission of the university.

Master’s degree with graduate-level training in research methods data management is preferred.
Specific skills include advanced proficiency to analyze and manipulate data in Microsoft Excel, experience with a student information system, (preferably Jenzabar EX). Proficiency in survey design and deployment (preferably in Qualtrics platform), and proficiency in building data visualizations (preferably in Tableau and Canva). Excellent written and oral communication skills, and knowledge of higher education technology and content.

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, able to meet deadlines, collaborate with colleagues, and will work independently effectively.
