Description
We have an outstanding opportunity to lead and manage Montgomery Early Learning Center’s array of services and programs with growth and expansion in the future. The Chief Program Officer will report to the Chief Executive Officer and supervise the Directors of programs providing the highest quality early childhood education and school age services at 10 sites with over 165 staff. For over 50 years, our mission has been to develop, provide, and advocate for high quality early childhood education, school age programs and related services in support of all children. This position includes some travel within Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties.

Education and Related Work Experience
• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Education, Business Administration, Human Services Administration or other closely relevant field
• 5 years senior management experience in early childhood education and school age program administration
• Experience supervising seasoned staff operating multiple programs across a broad geography
• Experience in grants compliance and administration
• Successful leadership of a continuous quality improvement process, focused on system/process improvement
• Substantial experience in program budgeting and fiscal management
• Demonstrated commitment to data driven program evaluation
• Track record of having led organizational transformation and program development projects
• Experience with facilities management and oversight
• Experience with opening new sites, preferred
• Experience with NAEYC and COA accreditation, preferred
• Experience with Creative Curriculum & Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports (PBIS), preferred

Skills and Knowledge
• Strong communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally with public and private funders
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to promote and communicate the philosophy, mission and values of MELC to external and internal stakeholders
