Financial Report – Russell Morgan, CFO
Due to continued issues with Wells Fargo, we don’t have online access to our account. We had around $35,000 in the checking account last time we had access to the account. With PayPal deposits, we likely have around $40,000 in the account. There are currently 15 registered for the annual conference. If we get 8 more to register, we should break even. Since getting authorized users on the account has been complicated, Keith Dickinson suggested that the Vice President be added to the account as well. This would only need to happen every four years.
Meetings Committee - Pete Weisenberger, Chair
Kyle has an interview on 9/22 with an Oklahoma City radio show to promote the conference. Warren Clark is offering a free press release to our speakers and sponsors. Because our registration numbers were lower, we were able to change the charter bus to a smaller size and reduce the cost of that.
Continuing Education Committee - Russell Morgan, Chair
Shop Talks and Webinars are scheduled throughout the remainder of the year. The committee is working to determine what will be offered in Q1 2023. Those will be announced at the annual conference. The committee is working with ASFMRA on a joint webinar. Russell will meet with Jessica Fernandez in mid-November.
Strategic Alliance Committee – Norm Brown, Committee Chair
Pete has done a lot of work to reach out to other organizations. American Soybean Association reached out to Traci. The strategic alliance group has a meeting scheduled with their leadership team.
New Business – Kyle Walker
The board has contracted with Jean Merry of Countryside Marketing for the ASAC Executive Director position, beginning in December 2022. Traci Schermerhorn will continue through December 31 (as per her contract) for an orderly transition of information to Jean.
