All the advance preparations for the conference have been completed: programming and speakers set up, awards selected and plaques ordered, menus chosen, social media announcements running, reminder emails to members to attend are scheduled, early registration and room block deadline emails sent, etc.
Continuing Education Committee - Scott Mickey, Chair
A Shop Talk has been set for Thursday, October 11, 11:00 a.m. CDT: New Federal Reporting Requirement for Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI). Paul Neiffer, who writes “The Farm CPA” column for Top Producer, will lead the discussion. There is no charge to participate but registration required (Link provided)
Membership Development Committee – Ron Rabou, Chair
Three new applications have come in for potential new members. Kyle will reach out personally to new members to encourage them to join a committee. A membership committee member will call/email a new member when they join. There is a History of ASAC brochure they could send them.
Nominating Committee – Pete Weisenberger, Committee Chair
The ballot for the election of officers during the business meeting at the Annual Conference is ready to send to members as required by the bylaws. However, a candidate is still needed for the vice president/secretary position, and nominations are still being sought.
