MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

I'm an image

David Mielnicki, MAI, ARA, SRA

president@agconsultants.org

Dear Members of ASAC,

This month, the executive committee successfully voted for Tony Ponzetti to serve as the 2025 Vice President/Secretary of ASAC, the position that was not filled at the Annual Business Meeting in November.

At our last board meeting, we focused efforts on continuing to roll out quality content to our membership and membership growth, and had solid discussion about our annual conference in November 2025, which will be in Indianapolis, Ind.

Furthermore, from a more technical standpoint, the executive committee is seeking ways
to make the experience of using our website more robust. Overall, we focused mainly on membership
experience with ASAC, which has become our top priority.

My email address is included below if you would like to discuss any items pertaining to your membership experience within ASAC.

Thank you for your ongoing support and participation in our society.

Warm regards,

David Mielnicki

president@agconsultants.org

BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING NOTES, February 2025

Financial Report – Russell Morgan, CFO

Discussion on how payments are made, particularly for memberships, which technically are recurring. Pros and cons of current PayPal and check system versus credit card and ACH options were presented. Russell will research further.

Meetings Committee - Abigail Byerly, Chair

Committee put forward San Antonio and Spokane for 2026 conference locations, and the board had no objections. Since Don Tyler is local (in Indiana) for the 2025 Annual Conference, he is currently making the bulk of the contacts for speakers. The tour ideas at this point are Beck’s Seed and Pioneer/Corteva. Recommended a “strategic planning meeting” in conjunction with the conference.

President's Report – David Mielnicki

Introduced Tony Ponzetti as willing to fill the vacant VP/Secretary position and gave the board a summary of his background. The candidate was accepted for the position by acclamation. Tony joined the call.

Next Board of Directors Meeting - March 18 - 11 a.m. CST (open to all members to listen in):

Ib Hagsten was a longtime member of ASAC who left a lasting legacy with our organization. It is impossible to replicate Ib's wit and down-to-earth observations. In his honor, we offer these words of wisdom...
