Membership is a Resource; ASAC's diversity - its greatest Strength:
When I first discovered ASAC, I was looking for a professional organization to align with. I needed a resource as I built my consulting practice focused on keeping Montana’s farms and ranches in production. As I explored my options, I was drawn to the American Society of Agricultural Consultants because of the diversity of its membership. It was clear this was a community not defined by a single commodity, discipline, or geography, but by professionals encompassing the entire agricultural industry—from production to finance, succession, stewardship, technology, and more.
That diversity isn’t just a feature of ASAC—it’s our greatest strength.
In today’s rapidly evolving agricultural landscape, no consultant can operate in isolation. Membership provides a powerful advantage: access to a trusted network of peers with varied perspectives, experiences, and solutions – professional fellowship. Engaging with fellow members strengthens our ability to serve clients, enabling more comprehensive, informed, and forward-thinking advice while reinforcing the credibility of our profession.
Equally important is our shared commitment to professionalism and ethical standards. In an industry built on trust, membership in ASAC signals a dedication to excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement.
For me, joining—and later serving in a leadership role—was an easy decision. I wanted to be part of an organization that would make me a stronger consultant, a more proactive rancher, and a better person.
I’m proud to be part of this membership. Together, we are a resource far greater than the sum of our individual parts.
From one member to another, thank you for your commitment to this Society and to the profession we serve. And if you’re looking for the right organization to support your consulting journey, I encourage you to consider ASAC.
