TheChestnut Hill Community Association is proud to partner with the Whitemarsh Foundation to present the newest chapter of its educational series titled “Jewel of the Wissahickon – Rewilding the Dixon Meadow”.
Join award-winning wildlife photographer and author Glenn Mason for a photographic journey of summer flora and wildlife, followed by a walk in the Preserve.
Learn how the season of plenty is so critical for feeding spring’s newborn birds and animals, how the Foundation supports the Bluebird and Tree Swallow NestWatch research program, and why the rewilded Dixon Meadow is such an important link in preserving the local ecology of the Wissahickon and surrounding habitats that define our region.

Caling all little artsits! The Chestnut Hill Community Association is thrilled to offer Art in the Park with Miss Ginger for a second summer!
The CHCA invites kids ages 2-6 and their caregivers to join us in Pastorius Park on June 16th, 23rd, and 30th for free arts and crafts sessions led by artist and teacher Ginger Mimmo-Rohlfing.
Every Art in the Park session will begin with storytime, followed by a craft inspired by the story. Each session is free of charge and open to the public, with art supplies provided.
Art in the Park will meet at 11am at the warming hut near the Millman Street entrance to Pastorius Park and last approximately one hour.
