Non-Profit SIG - Marketing Relevance in the 21st Century
5/17/2018
8:00 AM - 9:30 AM

Event Description
Topic:  Marketing Relevance in the 21st Century
Presented by:  Catherine Pennington, CPA

Most organizations regularly update their strategic plan, but the rapidly changing world requires more than just an update. Learning to separate mission from organization and how to take advantage of the successes and failures of other organizations can provide a more robust and useful revision to the strategic plans of an organization.

What you’ll learn:
  • How to define relevance for your organization and how that may differ from the relevance of the mission
  • How to measure relevance for your organization
  • How to use the information derived from the new Non-Profit reporting standards to help in the search for organizational relevance and in measuring that relevance.
Who will Benefit?
The session will benefit CFO's and Executive Directors who present regularly to their Finance Committee and board, financial heads of staff at non-profits as well as auditors who make financial presentations to their non-profit clients

Parking Information:
There are free public parking spaces about two blocks away at The Durant Center and at Jefferson Houston School.
We suggest using Peyton Street to get to Cameron (Cameron is a one way street, so you can’t drive through the arch and make a right on Cameron, only a left).  Come up Cameron and park at the Durant Center and then walk up to NHPCO through the back side of the arch/driveway.
There are free public parking spaces between the Durant Center and the public swimming pool and also behind Jefferson Houston Elementary School at 1501 Cameron Street.

Via Metro:
Take either the Yellow Line or Blue Line to the King Street Metro Station.
Please feel free to contact Brian Wendroff, Non Profit Committee Chair for any questions, comments, or concerns.
