Panel Discussion (6-7 PM): Arbitrating Individual Wage Claims
Speakers:           Deirdre Aaron, Saranicole Duaban, Denise Schulman
Program:            Practitioners will discuss strategies for arbitrating individual wage claims efficiently and profitably; navigating unique (and sometimes wacky) arbitration discovery rules; handling arbitrations in a variety of fora, familiar and unfamiliar (AAA v. JAMS v. other providers); educating arbitrators who have limited experience with wage claims; due process, confidentiality, and collateral estoppel issues; and making lodestar fee petitions in arbitration. Petitioners will also briefly discuss whether, when, and how to contest an arbitration agreement post-Epic.

Social Hour (7-8 PM): Wage & Hour Committee meet and greet. After the panel discussion, join us for a social hour to discuss the topic with new colleagues and old friends, suggest programs topics and speakers for upcoming events, and share developments in your wage & hour practice.

We look forward to engaging NELA/NY’s vibrant community of wage & hour practitioners at this and upcoming programs!
