Topic: Fraud Overview and Executive Impersonation

Overview
Fraud and executive impersonation continues to be a large problem affecting individuals and organizations every day.  This presentation is designed to provide you with information on common types of fraud, executive impersonation and how to protect your organization from being victimized.   Our team will lead the discussion and address questions on the risks associated with executive impersonation and the increase in Internet Fraud attacks across the industry. 
 
Objectives
During this discussion, participants will:
  • Receive an overview of common types of Fraud
  • Learn about executive impersonation and the various risks associated with it
  • Become more knowledgeable about how to protect yourself from executive impersonation

Gaye Boyette
Vice President
Gaye Boyette is a Relationship Manager in M&T’s Business Banking Division, covering the Northern Virginia market.   She has nine years of banking experience with M&T Bank, and an additional ten years international banking experience in the UK.  She has a diverse client base reflecting the NOVA market with more emphasis with Government Contractors.  Gaye earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida State University.  She currently resides in Arlington County with her family.
 
Lourdes Ortuso
Vice President
Lourdes Ortuso is a Treasury Management Consultant in M&T’s Mid-Atlantic region, covering the Northern Virginia and Central Virginia markets. She has fifteen years of banking experience with M&T Bank, and an additional five years of banking experience with other institutions. By working with multiple banking departments, Lourdes has gained expertise in both the commercial and retail functions of financial institutions. Lourdes earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from George Mason University. Lourdes currently resides in Fairfax County with her family.
