In response to the ever-changing and unprecedented circumstances that we find ourselves in, MAA will be hosting a “zoom” virtual membership meeting on September 10, 2020 from 10 am to 12 pm. The focus of this meeting will be to provide an update on the many items that are facing our industry. In addition, there will also be discussion regarding suggested modifications to the MAA bylaws.

Summary of the Proposed MAA Bylaw changes
During the July 15, 2020 MAA Board of Directors meeting, it was determined to modify and update various sections in the MAA bylaws.
In order for these changes to take effect, the current MAA Bylaws need to be officially amended by the membership. Therefore, this email serves as official notice according to Article XII of the current bylaws that require “Notice of any proposed amendment shall be furnished to the membership in writing at least thirty days before the meeting at which such amendment is to be voted upon.”
Official voting on these proposed changes will take place during the September 10, 2020 virtual membership meeting.
