Join us for our ever-popular SDMBA Photo Contest hosted at Trek Bicycles in La Mesa!  Register today to enter in your best shots, enjoy good company, and check out the work of fellow mountain bikers. SDMBA will provide pizza and refreshments including from Sierra Nevada, New Belgium Brewing and Athletic Brewing Co. 

Registration is required and will be limited to 50 guests. This event will fill quickly so don't delay.

**COVID protocol for this indoor event:
SDMBA and our hosts at Trek (a 100% vaccinated staff) are asking that masks be worn while not actively eating or drinking. 
We ask that if you do not feel well, you do not attend.  Let us know if you are not attending so we can open your spot. 

All photos will be displayed at the event and judged by your peers.  Winners will receive some cool swag and get their photos printed on the SDMBA 2022 Poster Calendar. 

HERE ARE THE RULES:

1.     Photo contest is open to everyone.  Limit 6 photos entered per person.

2.     There is no fee to enter but all attendees are encouraged to make a donation to the SDMBA to support trail projects and programs. 

3.     All photos are automatically entered for Best of Show

4.     Prints may range in size from a minimum of 5 x 7 to a maximum of 8 x 12. Please do not bring the prints framed.

5.     Photos must be from within the last 5 years and must be submitted by the photographer who took the image. 

6.     On the back of each photo please include your name, email, phone number, and the category entered.

7.     You must be present to win.

8.     By entering the SDMBA Photo Contest, you agree to grant SDMBA and the Photo Contest Sponsors the right to display your image in print and on the web. Entrants will retain the rights to their photographs.

9.     All photos must be safe for work (no nudity!)

10. Winners will be asked to provide a high quality digital copy of their photo to SDMBA for production of the 2022 Calendar.

1. Locals Only (your best ride or trail shots - San Diego County only)
2. Trail Shots  (your best shots taken on trail rides - any location)
3. The Scenic Route (your best shots with scenic vistas, exploring cool places, off the beaten path rides, or travels with bike)   
4. MTB Friends (shots of you and your trail buddies having fun together)
5. Generation Grom (your best shots of the kids)
6. Bikepacking (your best shots from the world of bikepacking)
7. Holy Sh!t (pucker factor, stunts, features, gnar, free-ride, jumps - whatever gets your adrenaline pumping)
8. Black and White 
9. Wild Things (all the nature or wild things you encounter on your adventures)
10. Best of Show (all photos eligible
