2022 Adult Summer Season
5/23/2022 - 8/14/2022

Event Description
IF REGISTERING AFTER MAY 9th please email info@rowcmi.org as the boat schedule has been made and the Learn to Row schedule is in progress. Thank you!

A much anticipated Adult Summer Season is approaching and we are excited!  Rowing in 4s, doubles, or single shells are all possible.  Pay for the season, pay per row, or join our rolling learn to row program- whichever you choose the goal is the same: Together let's get you on the water!

Please gather yourself and/or your crew and register for our full summer season which is Monday May 23rd through Sunday August 14th.

Our rowing days/time will be our typical weekday early mornings to mid morning then back out on the water for early evening, plus our weekend morning sessions.  In the beginning of May rowers will receive a separate form to request their days/times plus, where applicable, list their crew members- please do not email us your requests.

All rowers who join this season program will receive our summer communications, have access to our boat schedule, and be able to participate in destination rows.

Experienced rowers and scullers

Full summer season  ………………………..…………………………………..................……

Experienced rowers rowing sweep in our fours and/or sculling* in our doubles and singles.  Full season rowers are eligible to row a set 2X a week schedule; Either 2x sculling or 1x scull/1x crew or 2x a week in named crews of 4; or,  3X a week for named crews of 6+ rowers. They may fill in/reserve empty seats weekly in our fours, doubles and open singles as well.

Crews must be made up of 75% full season rowers (vs pay per rowers) but ALL crew members must register before crew schedule assignments will be made. Registration will close for crews on May 6th in order to allow time for schedules to be puzzled together so please make sure you, your rowing friends, or your crew are registered in order to have a higher chance of getting your top spots.

*Scullers must be CMI certified to scull (reach out to info@rowcmi.org  to find out how to do this)

Pay Per Row  ………………………………………......................................................…….

This allows a rower to fill in open seats in our fours, doubles or to reserve a single on a weekly basis.   Rowers pay a small enrollment fee then have different tiered choices from individual row, 5, or 12 rows. The payment link for these will be sent after May 6th.

Sculling……………………..………………………………………….…..............……………

Two oars, two hands, one sliding seat.  These are private and semi private lessons to teach rowing in a single or double.  At completion, rowers can choose to join our summer season by paying the difference due, or join our pay per row.

CMI strives to facilitate rowing that is both safe and fun on the water and off.  As a nonprofit, we are obligated to cover costs of safety training, boat & equipment maintenance, and quality coaching and coxing in a responsible manner. This includes our continued investment in training our (much needed) support staff by coaching and mentoring our youth rowers who help run CMI.  As always, we believe that cost should never be a barrier to rowing so please do not hesitate to reach out to administrator@rowcmi.org  to find out options to keep you rowing!

To ensure member safety, CMI will require coxswains and rowers in our fours and doubles to be fully vaccinated in order to share close quarters in boats.  If you have a reason for not getting the vaccine, luckily you are still welcome to scull or learn to scull in our singles!!
