VIRTUAL Tax Ethics 2022: Navigating Client Needs & the Law hosted by VSCPA.

***This course has been approved by the Virginia Board of Accountancy (VBOA) to fulfill your 2022 Ethics requirement.***

Certified public accountants who are also tax professionals are subject to a variety of rules from different sources. Failure to comply could result in adverse consequences, both personally and professionally. At the core of compliance with the rules is ethics. This course will be a reference guide for tax professionals as they navigate ethical dilemmas and make ethical decisions related to the intersection of clients' needs and the rules and guidance relating to tax practice.

Northern Chapter VSCPA members will attend the training offered by VSCPA. 
The cost is $45 to members and registration will close on November 15, 2022.


Participants must have a VSCPA account - please access this account prior to training to ensure you have correct account credentials. 
Meeting link AND CPE certificate will be emailed to address used in VSCPA system. 

Northern Chapter members will need to have a VSCPA account - these credentials will be used to send meeting link and CPE certificate.

When you complete this course you will be able to:

  • Appropriately use Treasury Department Circular No. 230, Regulations Governing Practice before the Internal Revenue Service.
  • Connect Circular No. 230 guidance with that provided by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), including that provided in the AICPA's Code of Professional Conduct and Statements on Standards for Tax Services.
  • Understand how the Code of Virginia 54.1-4413.3 Standards of Conduct and Practice regulates persons who use the CPA title in Virginia, including those who are tax professionals.
