2021 Adult Summer Season
5/17/2021 - 8/15/2021

Event Description
Summer is approaching and we are excitedly anticipating the start of our adult summer season ON THE WATER AGAIN starting Monday May 17th!!!

*******IF YOU ARE JOINING AFTER WEDNESDAY, MAY 13TH:  Please bear with us as our boat schedule and staff schedule have been made for the beginning of the season and we will do our best to fit you in!!  As noted further below, you should email us after your registration so we can help make it happen.  We are aiming to get as many people as possible out on the water rowing this summer!

We will still be mindful of COVID precautions so there will be added steps as we aim to keep everyone safe.  Cleaning of equipment after each use, wearing masks any time on land, and a Shore Manager to direct and ensure protocols are followed will continue like we successfully established last summer.

To ensure member safety, CMI will require coxswains and rowers in our fours to be fully vaccinated and past the two week wait period for COVID vaccinations in order to share these close quarters. Please bear with us as this may mean we only have a few eligible crews to row those first few weeks due to vaccination roll out availability. Our ideal season is having as many rowers and boats on the water so in these cases we will work with each of these crews to help them feel they have rowed a full season to the best of our ability. But please still register now in order to secure your crew plus day/times for the season.  If you have a reason for not getting the vaccine, luckily you are still welcome to scull or learn to scull in our singles!!

This summer we have more moving parts with our expanded fleet, additional rowing options, and more guidelines to keep in check so we are going to prepare our season as best we can by using stages.  We are first having rowers register for their program choice.  After you have registered we will send out a link on May 3rd so you can build your crews, select your rowing day(s) & time preferences or sign up for your Learn To Row sessions.   AS OF THIS TIME, please email us at info@rowcmi.org after your registration to let us know your rowing preferences (available ams/pms, if you are sculling &/or rowing in 4s and wether you need a crew or list the names of your crew) Thank you!

Our rowing days/time will be our typical weekday early mornings (6-8am) with a few mid morning (9-11am) options then back out on the water for late afternoon to early evening (5-8pm), plus our weekend morning sessions (6:30-10:30am).   Also note replacing the substitute list are added options of pay per month and pay per row which also means like the previous year's substitute list, you can not be named as a permanent seat on a crew.

All rowers who join this season program will receive our summer communications, have access to our boat schedule, and be able to participate in destination rows.
