2021 Adult Pre-Summer Outdoor Workouts

Event Description
**NEW**   We have added the option to join both classes!  If you already registered and would like to add the other, just reply back and I can help make the adjustment.  Please note Coach Abi's Saturday class accommodates a range of levels.  If you are a newer rower to a very experienced, she can help fine tune your individual technique while guiding the overall class through the session.

Looking for quick warm up to get ready for your summer on the water, or maybe looking to learn rowing technique?  

Welcome to our 3 week pre-summer outdoor erg workouts for adults!


We know quite a few of you have been busy erging with us through the year online or have sculled with us last summer but we are also aware we have a whole missed summer for our sweep rowers and other rowers who could not previously join us.  This next three week session is just a little something to help you get warmed up before hitting the water, to be outside again, or to get a head start and learn/work on your rowing technique.   We will utilize up to 9 ergs outside the boathouse led by our talented coaches, Abi Kornet and Christine Guinee.  

This spring outdoor warm up session will run for three weeks from Saturday May 1st to Monday 17th each class is strictly limited to 9 participants.

 
Class Choices: 

Rowers wanting fine tuning & warming up!  
3 SPOTS OPEN & added SAT for those who could not make first session

Time to get those legs and arms and abs and ...you get it?...everything working again!  With the help of our returning Coach Abi we will get you back in the swing (at the hinge!) of things.
  • Saturday 10:30-11:30 workouts/technique with Coach Abi Kornet   dates: 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22

CLASS FULL- Beginner/Novice Rowers: (New rowers or a year or less of experience)
For the first time, we will also open a pre-summer beginner/novice class for adult rowers so they can learn and/or work on stroke, form and technique, plus build their cardio and muscle memory.
  • Mondays 6-7pm with Coach Christine Guinee       dates: 5/3, 5/10, 5/17. 
OPTION NOW CLOSED-I WANT BOTH: (newer rowers to the very experienced)
Looking to maximize your pre-summer warm up? Take both classes
  • Saturdays 10:30-11:30 Coach Abi
  • Mondays 6-7pm with Coach Christine

Rowers should dress in athletic clothes (layers), wear sneakers, bring a reusable water bottle, towel, and wear a mask.  Masks will be worn but optional while on the erg during workouts.
