It is essential that our network meets in these times, exchanges expertise, engages in finding mutually solutions and learning new tools - essential to continue or restart in the post Corona lockdown situation. Everyone is welcome to participate and to give and take.

Sustainable Fashion - Why? What? How? And what is the role of the consumer (us)?
With this EWMD ONLINE Module you will learn
- How to look into the 'inner life' of your clothes, and to ask the right questions when purchasing.
- How to distinct sustainable designers/brands and corporates that do 'greenwashing'.
- To define what you expect of your clothes, their outer and inner beauty.
Monika is an economist and the owner of crossxculture consulting. Her team and her provide consultancy services and policy advice to private and public corporates and international organisations. Her work on sustainability began with impact assessments, CO2 balances and environmental costing in the energy sector. In the 20th century the fashion industry has emerged as one of the main polluters of the environment. She caught the sign of times and graduated at Fashion Institute of Technology (NY) in Sustainable Design. Monika has not only insightful and recent background on the theme of today's module as a speaker, she is also making an impressive entre as a fashion designer with her brand Urban Pilgrims. This part of her work has won her awards and invitations to the International Fashion Art Biennale in Seoul, to DESIGN VENICE /Biennale di Venezia, the Fashion Museum in Milano and other international Modern Art Museums and Galleries.
