Intelligent/Smart technologies assist in predicting issues and improving the performance of these systems. With the advent of technologies like the Internet of Things and Digital Twins, utilities are becoming increasingly instrumented to monitor key process indicators. This facilitates and streamlines the operation of the utility: collections, operations, laboratory, and engineering. This is an overview of those technologies.
