The seminar will address 2 significant topics of managing and leading. These include: the difference between management and leadership and emotional intelligence.

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is an important component of leadership. When comparing individual performance, individuals with higher EQ’s outperform those with the same or higher cognitive intelligence (IQ’s). EQ is comprised 2 primary competencies, Personal Competence and Social Competence. Personal Competence contains 2 skills, Self-awareness and Self-management and Social Competence contains 2 skills, Social awareness and Relationship management. This is based on Emotional Intelligence 2.0, Travis Bradberry and Jean Greaves.

There are several significant differences between leadership and management. Some of these are natural and others can be learned. Continuing to improve EQ starts with the initial Emotional Intelligence Appraisal and is followed up with working on your EQ skills and a new appraisal. The seminar will focus on the explanation of your EQ how to follow up on your EQ skills.
