Category View

The New Mexico Farmers' Marketing Association hosts the following trainings and events. Check back as we add more registration opportunities!

  • Food Safety Trainings — You will need to take both Tier 1 and Tier 2

Adapted from the NMFMA’s in-person tiered trainings, these online trainings are tailored for NM’s small to medium size producers. Bringing food safety concepts to life, this training explores food safety hazards that may be present on farms and highlights practices to mitigate those risks. The trainers provide hands-on technical assistance to help you apply these concepts directly to your own farm so that by the Tier 2 training you can write your own Farm Risk Assessment, increase the level of food safety on your farm, and become an approved supplier for the NM Grown Program. Be sure to also sign up for the Tier 2 Training where you will learn how to create a Risk Assessment for your farm! (Risk Assessments are required for the NM Grown Approved Supplier Program.
